Poetry and Chocolate
Friday, June 20
7:30 p.m.
Reading and conversation with two
Minnesota poets, Diana Lundell and LouAnn Muhm
Join us as we enjoy poetry and a chocolate fountain with strawberries and cakes for dipping, along with delectable morsels from FaerieCakes of St. Cloud.

Diana Lundell is a poet and fiction writer, who originally hails from the Midway area of St. Paul. For some years, she made her home in Duluth, but now lives in Eagan, Minnesota. Lundell is the author of Awaking Indigo, a chapbook of poetry from Puddinghouse Press. Recently, a piece of her fiction was selected to appear at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at UCLA, and at various events in London and Paris in May. Lundell was featured in March and June for Minnesota State Arts Board's “What Light.” Over the years, her work has also appeared in various publications, most recently Falling Star Magazine, Elegant Thorn Review, Whistling Shade, Eagan Magazine, Stonewritings and Metro Magazine. She has also been a guest on Write of Radio and has given several interviews with magazines and publications. Her poetry has won contests and has been publicly performed by professional actors. As an invited author, and occasional, administrator and advisor, she appears weekly on Northography. You can find her at www.dianalundell.com or on her deck, gazing into the wonder of a twilight sky and imagining…always imagining.

LouAnn Shepard Muhm is a poet and teacher from northern Minnesota. Her poems have appeared in Dust & Fire, The Talking Stick, North Coast Review, Alba, Red River Review, Eclectica, Poems Niederngasse, and CALYX, and she was a finalist for the Creekwalker Poetry Prize (2007) and the Late Blooms Postcard Series (2007). Muhm was the featured poet in the Minnesota State Arts Board's “What Light” poetry series twice in 2008 and was a recipient of the 2006 Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant in Poetry. Her chapbook, Dear Immovable, was published in 2006 by Pudding House Press, and her full-length poetry collection Breaking the Glass has been recently released by Loonfeather Press.
