The owner of Borealis Books has a special place for children in her heart, and in her store. The Children's Picture Books section also has toys, puzzles, pillows, and a play rug available for children while mom, dad, uncles, aunts, or grandparents browse in our cozy store.  The bathroom is also child friendly; with a potty training seat and a diaper changing table.

We frequently get asked for recommendations for kids books. A good place to start is the Children's Book Council website. They have reading lists for different ages as well as recommendations each month for events happening that month. Children's Book Week is an annual event sponsored by The Children's Book Council each year to raise awareness of the importance of reading to children.
